"BRU-HIMS (Brunei Darussalam Healthcare Information and Management System) is a system that integrates and manages patients' information under the medical and healthcare services. This system stores information electronically and improves the management as well as accessibility of the patients' information and comprehensive medical history in this country. It aims to integrate information and patient's medical histories under 'one patient, one record'.

The benefits of using Bru-HIMS include it effectively managing the time spent by the patients at hospitals and health centres; facilitates the liaison between patients and doctors better; guarantee the safe-keeping of patients' information; doctors and nurses could attain immediate results of medical check-up and patients' medical histories via online and provides short reminders to the patients regarding their appointments three days prior to their actual meeting."

Registering for BRU-HIMS

"Registration can be done in three ways;

(a) by filling in a form at registration counters in government hospitals and bring along their Identification Card (IC) or a photocopy of it;

(b) by downloading the registration form for Bru-HIMS from the Ministry of Health's website and returning it with a photocopy of the IC at the registration counters of hospitals or health centres;

(c) or by registering online through the Bru-HIMS application (Android users can download the app at the PlayStore, whereas Apple users can download the Bru-HIMS app from the Apple Store).
