renewing driver's license offline and online

Excuse the heading for this one.

RENEWING OFFLINE

You must have your old driver's licence and IC with you. The best time to go is from the 10th-20th of a month.

1. Enter the main entrance, turn left into the "Kantin". Take a number from the machine. On some days, tickets run out fast. Therefore, it is advisable for you to come early (either 7:00AM for morning or 12:00PM for afternoon) even though the counter opens much later (8:15AM).

2. Go directly to any available staff. Pass them your old licence and they will key it into the computer. 3. Go to the big rooms with many counters at the other end of the building and wait for them to call your number. 4. Once called, you will be charged a fee of BND $10 for a year renewal. If you want to replace your old photo, you may do so. A new driver will have their picture taken.

5. Go upstairs, clip together the green form, receipts, and old licence and hand it over to the officer. That is it. If you're lucky and it is a fast day, your licence may be done on the day of renewal itself.

[Optional] If you want 3 years (BND $30) renewal, you will need to request for a form.

1. Go to the security desk to get a pass then proceed on to Room 5. The officer there will need to sign the form before you can renew for 3 years. 2. Go back to the counter where you will be provided a form. You will be charged a fee of BND $30. Go upstairs, clip together the green form, receipts, and old licence and hand it over to the officer. Once this is done, that is it. If you're lucky and it is a fast day, your licence may be done on the day of renewal itself.

IMPORTANT: If your licence has expired for more than 60 days, you will have to pay an extra BND $10.
